Is Dashboard=Control Panel?

According to The Free Dictionary, a dashboard is a panel under the windshield of a vehicle, containing indicator dials, compartments, and sometimes control instruments. So, basically in a software context, the term control panel is more appropriate. Anyway, a dashboard would fit in just fine since a dashboard function is to indicate the necessary information so that the driver or the user could make the necessary decision in order to navigate through whatever situation they are dealing with.

The Dashboard Spy is a blog written by a person who is a spy at The Dashboard Spy. I did a search for the keyword ‘Facility Management‘ to check and see if there is any software related to Facilities Management (click on the link to see the result). Only pharmaceutical facility management is found. Probably in our next post, we’ll give you a screenshot of the software that we use to manage facilities.
