Project Decision Resolved

Posted in General at 4:45 pm by Admin

Last Monday, 19 September 2005, the scheduled bi-weekly meeting were held again. The previous close tender or open tender that were told to us earlier were being dropped. So, the project will be kicking off very soon with the first meeting scheduled tomorrow. I will be handling this project alone this time since my technical assistant went to Johor Bahru for a National Convention to organize a demo there. My boss is in Indonesia for some other conference.

The most I could do now is to study and understand how the kick-off is going to be planned. This would be my first experience handling such a large scale project worth RM1 million. However, I’m also the key personnel for the the office administration operation. It’s a burden for me in term of responsibility but somebody has to do it. Update in a while later.

Progress At A Slower Pace

The meeting which was schedule on 29th August 2005 has been postponed to 5th September 2005 (yesterday). The project Manager, Mr. Rosli was in Sabah on a business trip.

It was a short 40 minutes meeting as it was told that the higher management or the people who are going to pay us hasn’t made any decision yet. There is also a complication that the previous ‘Direct Nego’ is probably going to be a ‘closed tender’. The worst could be an ‘open tender’. All this term has nothing to do with our FM Project but it’s more into the management and political issue.

Furthermore, we were asked to prepare a complete ‘tender spec’. We have no experience in doing a so called ‘tender spec’, so we are working hard to get to know what is it and how to prepare one. Keep you posted later on.
